A Walnut Creek man was uninjured but undoubtedly rattled after the single-engine plane he was co-piloting ditched into a cornfield Wednesday morning after failing to gain enough altitude in a takeoff from Aurora Municipal Airport in Illinois.
The plane was piloted by Dan Bagget, 66, of Mountain View, and the copilot was Rod Kenner, 65, of Walnut Creek, according to an account on the website of NBC 5 in Chicago.
