Search warrant at Concord home uncovers methamphetamine packaged for sale and prescription drugs.

State Justice Department agents, assisted by Walnut Creek police, arrested a Concord father and daughter at their home Thursday in connection with a month-long investigation into methamphetamine trafficking.

During a search of the home, which started at 7 a.m. Thursday, agents from the Central Contra Costa County Narcotic Enforcement Team found 133 grams of crystal methamphetamine, with a street value of $8,000, and 25 grams of marijuana packaged for sales, said CCCNET Commander Norm Wielsch in a press release. Agents also found 100 Oxycodone, Valium and Vicodin tablets, hashish, scales and packaging materials, and $18,100.00 in cash in the bedroom of the father, identified as Gregory Banks, 54.

Both father and daughter are unemployed, and agents arrested them on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine for sale. Both were booked into Contra Costa County Jail with bail set for each at $500,000.

Also present at the home on Kreuger Drive were two other adults and two children. Amanda Banks is the mother of two of those children. The children appeared to be well taken care of, and were released to the custody of their father, Wielsch said.  The other adults were released.
