With the Help of Residents, Police Arrest Two Juveniles in Home Break-in

Police arrest two after a woman calls to say there is a stranger in her home.

Walnut Creek police arrested two juveniles on suspicion of residential burglary Thursday evening, following a search that started with a woman calling to say someone had just broken into her home.

At around 7:30 p.m. Thursday, a woman in the 700 block of Savannah Circle called to say that a man had just entered her home.

Officers responded to the neighborhood and began searching. While motor officers were checking the Canal Trail, two suspects emerged, running eastbound.

With the help of concerned citizens, police said, and K-9 officers from the Walnut Creek and Concord police departments, officers were able to find two juvenile suspects in a back yard in the 3000 block of Santa Paula Drive in Concord.

Police arrested the two suspects and booked them into Juvenile Hall in Martinez on suspicion of residential burglary. Their names are not being released because of their age.
