Breaking: July 10 Release of Walnut Creek Internal Investigation Report

An internal investigation report outlining the actions of city department heads and their handling of a former employee's alleged sexual interaction with teenage girls from Pleasant Hill and Danville will be released on Wednesday, July 10.

The City Council voted in closed session on Friday to release the report. It has to date not been released to the public, despite requests from Walnut Creek Patch and the Contra Costa Times under the Public Records Act. It outlines the failure of city department heads to report on the actions of Jason Pedroza, who is charged with two felonies and two misdemeanors of inappropriate contact with minors. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges, and his trial is set for July 20.
