City Weighs Centennial Celebration of 2014
Special meeting of City Council is 9 a.m. Friday at Assistance League of Diablo Valley on Buena Vista Avenue.
The City Council has a special, retreat meeting scheduled for 9 a.m. Friday, July 13, at the Assistance League of Diablo Valley, 2711 Buena Vista Ave., Walnut Creek.
One item on the special agenda is a discussion of the city's centennial anniversary in 2014. "The council will consider establishing a process for gathering community interest and determining City and constituent involvement," states the agenda.
Also on the agenda is a discussion of approaching "the financial, policy and strategic challenges facing Walnut Creek" in the context of last year's report of the Community Blue Ribbon Task Force.
