Council Cites Two City Employees of the Year
They are Fran Duffy of Community Development and Bob Hardie of Public Services.
The City Council on Tuesday recognized the city's two 2012 employees of the year, Fran Duffy and Bob Hardie.
The city proclamation cited Duffy, in the Community Development Department, for being courteous, thoughtful and hard working. Mayor Bob Simmons, in reading parts of the proclamation, said he often received compliments by citizens about the permit staff on the second floor of City Hall.
"Thank you for the honor," said Duffy. "I'm grateful for the recognition."
In Hardie's 20 years working for the city as a building trades worker, "there is no problem that is too big for Bob to roll up his sleeves and tackle," said the mayor, reading from the proclamation. "He goes the extra mile."
Hardie said he has had a great time over the last 20 years "working with a lot of great people."
