Poll: Pedestrian Bridge on Mt. Diablo Blvd.?
Discussion grows with the March 9 opening of Neiman Marcus.
Our recent story about city and Metropolitan Transportation Commission efforts sparked a Patch discussion about an idea that pops up from time to time — helping a busy car-shopper intersection with a pedestrian bridge over Mount Diablo Boulevard at Main Street.
Patch reader Kelly cited the danger in the PF Chang's area in advocating a pedestrian bridge. Reader Paula Miller responded that a pedestrian bridge was an expensive solution and better crosswalk placement is the answer.
The debate is more relevant than ever because, folks, there will be more shoppers standing on those corners with a Neiman Marcus store opening March 9.
