Protest Signs & Flags Fly on Mt. Diablo St.

Occupy Walnut Creek continues Wednesday afternoon demonstrations.

The Occupy rallyers showed the protest signs and the flags in downtown Walnut Creek Wednesday evening.

"We don't burn the flags here," said Occupy Walnut Creek regular Kathleen Klein. "We carry them." She was contrasting the Walnut Creek event with Occupy Oakland protests that featured flag-burning.

It was the 17th Wednesday for Occupy Walnut Creek. Protesters numbered 15 at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.

"We need to get out of all the other countries we're poking our noses into and take care of our own people," said Cathe Norman of Pleasanton. "I would like to see our country helping other countries instead of bombing them and trying to control them."

Some signs:

  • Hold banks and mortgage brokers accountable.
  • Turn back Citizens United.
  • Insource that which was outsourced, Keep Americans employed.
