The Next To Leave Walnut Creek City Hall: Assistant City Manager?

Walnut Creek's second most powerful administrator is set to move on to become city manager in Pacifica.

Lori Tinfow, Walnut Creek's Assistant City Manager, is lined up to be the first female city manager in Paciifca, according to Pacifica Patch. The city council there will vote on a resolution to appoint Tinfow on Monday.

During her tenure in Walnut Creek, Tinfow managed the construction of the library and put together a 10-year financial plan. Earlier this year, she became embroiled in the city's handling of the investigation of the Jason Pedroza case, where she was said to be evasive in her answers.

If the Pacifica council votes to approve her appointment, Tinfow, who has degrees from Stanford and Harvard, would begin her new position in October.

Tinfow would be the fourth top-level administrator to leave the city after the publication and release of the outside investigation into the Pedroza case. Since then, City Attorney Bryan Wenter, Assistant City Attorney Katy Wisinski, and Human Resources Director Sally Rice have resigned.
