Veteran Police Officer Rebello Retires

Mitch Rebello had worked for the Walnut Creek Police Department for 27 years, many of them as a motorcycle cop.

In the afternoon sun Thursday, Officer Mitch Rebello took his final on-duty stroll out the doors of City Hall, with police colleagues on one side and other city employees on the other.

Rebello seemed to bask in the retirement ceremony. He had been with the Walnut Creek Police Department for 27 years, many of them as a motorcycle officer.

More retirement congrats from the folks at BV. You've meant a lot to so many 5th graders, Officer Rebello!

Welcome to the land of retirement! You are a special person to many children and adults in our community. Personally, I enjoyed the ten years we shared working together in the WCI community. Enjoy your new journey.
