Walnut Creek history buff Bob Simmons — a.k.a. Mayor Bob — leads the Second Saturday walk.

Some 50 strode with determination around Shadelands and Woodlands neighborhoods Saturday morning.

It's the regular Second Saturday walk with Mayor Bob Simmons playing master of ceremonies, passing along some history, natural and human — four or five miles worth.
