What's Closed on Veterans Day?

Don't forget. The federal holiday is Monday, Nov. 12. It's not business as usual.

Veterans Day is this Monday, Nov. 12, and because it is a federal holiday, there will be no mail delivery and United States Post Offices will not be open. Most banks will be closed.

Locally, schools and school district offices will be closed.

The city of Walnut Creek has a holiday.

Contra Costa County offices, including its courts, will be closed for the day. All branches of the Contra Costa library system will also be closed.

How do you plan to mark Veterans Day?

Not sure where you get the idea that wood chips are "much more dangerous".
