A Possible Bit of Rudeness of the WC Chamber Board?

Why is a majority of the WC Chamber Board prohibiting me from attending their Civic Affairs Committee Meetings?

The WC Chamber has its Civic Affairs Committee Meetings on the fourth Friday of each month at 7:45-9AM.  I had been a member of this Committee when I was a member of the Chamber, but I'm now retired.

The June 24 Meeting of the Committee dealt with County Redistricting, a topic of interest to me.  I attended this meeting, and was warmly greeted by Jay Hoyer and Charlie Abrams, Chair of the Committee.

The July 22 Meeting of the Committee dealt with the 1500 N California Blvd Apartment project, which I've been following as when completed it would be two blocks from where I live.  Strangely, Charlie informed me that a majority of the Chamber Board had voted that I may not attend Civic Affairs Committee Meetings.  Jay wasn't there because of health reasons.  Charlie said he would call me to explain the Board's decision to me.

I saw Charlie at the Board of Supervisors Meeting of July 26 where the decision was made on District lines. Charlie thanked me for forwarding the first draft of this article to him, but I still have received no explanation.

If any Patch reader can give me insight as to why I'm banned from attending WC Civic Affairs Committee Meetings, I'd appreciate it.
