Check out this house near downtown that's almost 100 years old

You know the old saying. They don't make 'em like they used to.

They may or may not be true when it comes to homes, but for some people older houses are simply quainter and more "lived in."

This week, we thought we'd try to find the oldest home for sale in each of our communities.

In Walnut Creek, there's this four-bedroom, two-bathroom house at 173 El Camino Corto that was built in 1916.

The 2,211-square-foot residence sits on nearly an acre and has undergone some remodeling inside. The list price is $979,000.
