The Most Expensive Homes For Sale in Central Contra Costa

Check out these homes that are on the upper end in price in each of the communities they're located

There still aren't a lot of homes for sale in the Bay Area and the ones that are on the market continue to cost more.

A report released this week by DataQuick showed that home sales in the Bay Area were down 12 percent in December from the previous December.

It also showed that the median price paid for a Bay Area home last month was $548,500, a 24 percent increase over December 2012. The price was slightly lower than the median sale price in November.

With that in mind, we thought we'd take another look at the most expensive homes for sale in the region.

In Pleasant Hill, this four-bedroom, three-bathroom house at 236 Golf Links St. is listed at just under $985,000.

In Concord, this four-bedroom, three-bathroom house on 7 acres at 5486 Pine Hollow Road is listed at $995,000.

In Orinda, this nine-bedroom, 9.5-bathroom home at 12 El Sueno is listed at $6.5 million.
