7 Days! Not long and I'm guessing both houses already have several offers they are considering. . Please get the word out that homes are are selling very quickly, with multiple offers and above asking. if a house has not sold it's priced too high. We have many buyers looking for homes! If you're think of selling, now is the time! Rachael Hand, Realtor, Coldwell Banker

How about a 4,500 sq.foot home with 1 acre fully landscaped home that backs up to the open space, completely remodeled in early 2000, priced at $1,840,000 without an offer on the market for 2 weeks?

Higher end homes take just a bit longer. However, you may want to have a discussion with your agent as to what they think the reason is. There are many reasons it could be. Is it easy to show? Did your agent tell you to price lower? Have a heart to heart.

Just checked the mls and the median as of Friday evening for detached homes listed for sale in Walnut Creek is $827,000 ... 4 bedroom, 2 bath, 2200 sf... The median list price for a Walnut Creek home that closed escrow in the last 30 days is a bit less at $749,000 but it sold over list price at $755,000.... and 37 detached homes closed escrow in that 30 days and there are only 38 detached homes currently for sale. Bottom line is that now more than ever if you are looking for a home to buy it will pay to work with an agent who knows how to help you actually get the home you want.
