Building Healthy Soil

Contra Costa Master Gardeners Lorraine Frey and Roxy Wolosenko will expertly guide the audience through a variety of dos and don'ts that will help homeowners improve and maintain the condition of their garden soil.

Healthy soil is the cornerstone of a healthy garden. The presentation will cover soil basics including texture, structure and biology, followed by advice on simple practices you can easily adopt to improve your garden's soil, including composting, mulching, sheet mulching, raised bed gardening, and more. This is a 90 minute presentation with 30 minutes for questions.The San Ramon Library is at 100 Montgomery Street, on the corner of Bollinger Canyon and Marketplace.
