Congressman George Miller addresses issues of small business and Washington at Contra Costa Council luncheon on August 25

Concord, CA—The Contra Costa Council and the Council's Small Business Task Force will host Congressman George Miller at a luncheon on Wednesday, August 25, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Concord Hilton, 1970 Diamond Boulevard (note venue change). The legislator will address issues of small business and provide a Washington update.

Congressman Miller chairs the House Education and Labor Committee and the House Democratic Policy Committee, and he is a member of the House Natural Resources Committee. He is a leading advocate in Congress on education, labor, health care, the economy and the environment.

Miller has represented the 7th District of California in the East Bay since 1974. His district includes portions of Contra Costa and Solano counties, including Richmond, Concord, Martinez, Pittsburg, Benicia, Vallejo and Vacaville. He is a life-long Democrat and Californian.

Luncheon registrations are due to the Council by 12:00 noon on Monday, August 23, at 925.246.1880. (fax 925-674-1654).
