FINDING FOUNDATION SUPPORT FOR YOUR EDUCATION

Walnut Creek Library is hosting a unique workshop presented by San Francisco Foundation Center. The workshop is specifically prepared for individuals who are seeking to fund their education. This includes: high school students, graduate level students and researchers whose research cannot be funded by their school or institution. There is no fee for the workshop. Walnut Creek Library is the only library in East Bay subscribing to SF Center Foundation databases which are normally only accessible for a fee.All library patrons have access to the databases with their library card.

 Participants will learn how to obtaining financial aid for their studies. What they need to know before approaching foundations. Other topics discussed include: the different sources of funding, how to create a personal profile to attract funders, print and electronic resources that provide information on scholarships from foundations and other grantmakers.
