Laughter Yoga originated in 1995 by Madan Kataria, MD, a medical doctor, who began doing research into why certain patients of his were thriving and living longer. As the doctor began his research, he was learning about the impacts and benefit of laughter on the human body.


One of the obstacles to changing life style is habit. Often food habits are related to stress. Laughter Yoga is successful in reducing stress stress. It is something anyone can do any place, any time.

Teena Miller is a Certified Laughter Yoga Teacher, having personally studied with Dr. Kataria. Teena currently teaches Laughter Yoga exercises to over 200 people, on a weekly basis. She is an elementary school teacher in the Vacaville Unified School District, an author, artist, and public speaker.


I recently met Teena. I was struck by her story. I have invited her to lead us in Laughter Yoga at the Metabolic Balance meeting on Wednesday, September 19th, 4-5pm at 43 Quail Court, Ste. 215 (Conference Room), Walnut Creek, CA. Visitors welcome, please RSVP. No Charge. All are welcome.
