Newborn Basics: The transition to parenthood is an amazing journey!  It can also be an exhausting one!  Feel comfortable and confident in your new role as a parent by learning the basics before baby arrives.  This class will cover diapering, bathing, swaddling, comforting and calming, basic hygiene care, how to choose a pediatrician and when to call them, immunizations and car seat safety.  $65/family

Breastfeeding Basics: Breastfeeding is natural, but isn’t always easy.  A solid foundation can help you get off to a good start.  This class will cover the health benefits of breastfeeding, basic anatomy and physiology, supply and demand, care of the nursing mother, newborn cues, positioning and establishing a good latch, pumping and storing breast milk, breastfeeding gear and community resources.  $45/family

We are teaching both of these classes at Bloom Retreat in Walnut Creek on Sunday July 29th. If taken together the combined rate is $95.

Come join us at an exciting new venue and meet other expecting parents in your local neighborhood.

I hate sand in parks. Nice breeding area for lice, and a great place for ferrel cats to poop. IRead More can't wait for them to do the park at Arbolado.

How about you research the current ADA guidelines regarding surface materials for play areas?Read More Walnut Creek is simply acting to be in compliance. Not sure where you get the idea that wood chips are "much more dangerous". A reasonable overview of the current regulations can be found here: http://risk.utah.gov/newsletter/documents/playground_surfacing.pdf If you disagree with the regulations, please contact your representatives.
