Updated Football Wrap: Las Lomas Wins Lightning-Suspended Game

On Friday night, Northgate scorched Alameda 56-34; Las Lomas 28 Rodriguez 14 in continuation of suspended game.

The lightning danced around Mount Diablo Friday evening and suspended the Rodriguez High at Las Lomas football game, and the Northgate Broncos canceled Alameda High 56-34.

The Las Lomas game recommenced Saturday evening and Las Lomas won 28-14, according to the MaxPreps website. Play continued Saturday from with Rodriguez ahead 14-12 with 4:39 to go in the first half. That was the situation when referees, looking over their shoulders at lightning spears, postponed the contest.  

The Northgate Broncos evened their record at 1-1 with a convincing 56-34 victory at Alameda High, according to MaxPreps.
