Keller Williams 'RED' Volunteers from Walnut Creek To Build Community Garden in Concord

Fifty volunteers from Keller Williams Realty in Walnut Creek will descend on the Monument Community First 5 Center in Concord Thursday to transform an unused dirt lot into a vibrant learning garden for low-income preschoolers and their families. 

The event is part of Keller Williams’ annual RED Day campaign, a day of service for Keller Williams associates to give back to important causes in their communities.

The Monument Community First 5 Center, a center that provides free parenting and enrichment classes for families with children up to age five, is the recipient of these generous services this year.

Once completed, the “Garden of Good Things,” will serve as an outdoor classroom for the Center, offering new programs for children and parents focused on sensory art, science, nutrition, and gardening. 

Monument Community First 5 Center is at 1736 Clayton Road, Concord. 

BACKGROUND: The Monument Community First 5 Center is run by the nonprofit Aspiranet and funded by First 5 Contra Costa. It serves approximately 300 families annually providing free parenting classes and activities to help young children grow up healthy, nurtured, and ready for kindergarten.
