Are You Planning To Go To the Giants' Parade?

BART trains will run at rush hour schedules all day to accommodate the expected crush of Giants fans, Halloween revelers and commuters.

Driving to San Francisco to join the ticker tape parade celebration for the Giants' World Series win would probably be an exercise in madness. Thousands are expected to converge for the parade, and it's also Halloween, a major San Francisco holiday.

Instead, East Bay revelers should consider taking BART, which is running its rush hour schedule all day long.

San Francisco will hold a ticker tape parade and civic celebration in honor of the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday.

The parade in honor of the Giants' World Series victory against the Detroit Tigers will start at 11 a.m. at the foot of Market Street and continue to Civic Center Plaza.

The Giants swept the Tigers, winning the series in Game 4 in Detroit Sunday night with a 4-3 victory. It is the team's second World Series win in three years.
