Our Adult Beginner Sculling class teaches the basics of sculling from the beginning for those totally new to the sport or for sweep rowers who'd like to switch things up a bit and learn to scull!  You'll spend your time on the water in singles (1 person) and doubles (2 people) learning proper rowing technique along with boat handling and care.  Simple exercises to build a base of strength in the body, especially the core, combined with some good cardio on the water will help to develop your fitness, balance, and flexibility.

Every participant will get a chance to row out on the beautiful Estuary and develop fitness at his/her own pace - great outdoor substitute for a visit to the gym!  By the end of the five weeks, you'll be comfortable handling your own boat and have a solid foundation for future rowing ventures!

I hate sand in parks. Nice breeding area for lice, and a great place for ferrel cats to poop. IRead More can't wait for them to do the park at Arbolado.

How about you research the current ADA guidelines regarding surface materials for play areas?Read More Walnut Creek is simply acting to be in compliance. Not sure where you get the idea that wood chips are "much more dangerous". A reasonable overview of the current regulations can be found here: http://risk.utah.gov/newsletter/documents/playground_surfacing.pdf If you disagree with the regulations, please contact your representatives.
