Each spring the Walnut Creek Open Space sponsors a series of wildflower excursions into the varied and interesting areas of our sites. This week is the fourth and final Plantapolooza and is being held at Sugarloaf Open Space in the grand and glorious Native Plant Garden. Many more than 30 species are found in the garden and most are blooming right now. Bring your own camera or try out our Scope-on-a-Rope to see the microscopic hidden world inside a plant. For $2.00 per print you can print out this microscopic view. The garden is very beautiful this year and is a good opportunity to learn about the plants found throughout the nearly 3,000 acres of Walnut Creek Open Space.
No dogs permitted in the garden except service animals.
