High School Football: Northgate, Las Lomas Both Lose
The Broncos suffer their first loss of the season in a close game against Concord High
Northgate High and Las Lomas High both lost games to tough opponents in Friday night football action.
Northgate was edged by Concord High, 30-28, on the Minutemen's home field.
The loss dropped the Broncos to 6-1 overall and 1-1 in league play. Concord High is now 6-1 overall and 2-0 in league play.
Northgate plays Ygnacio Valley High next Friday night on the Warriors' home field.
Meanwhile, Las Lomas lost on its home field to undefeated Campolindo High, 35-20.
The Knights fell to 5-3 overall and 2-1 in league play. Campolindo is now 7-0 overall and 3-0 in league.
Las Lomas is idle next week and plays Miramonte High in Orinda on Nov. 1.
Berean Christian High also lost on Friday night.
The Eagles were defeated by Pinole Valley High by a score of 42-25.
Berean Christian fell to 2-6 overall and 0-4 in league play. They've lost five straight.
Pinole Valley improved to 2-5 overall and 2-1 in league.
