Las Lomas plays tough but falls to Campolindo while Clayton Valley crushes Mt. Diablo

Here are the scores from the local high school football games Friday evening.

Campolindo 31  Las Lomas 22

Campolindo High finished the regular season with a perfect record after defeating Las Lomas High, 31-22.

It was a tough battle. The Cougars held a slim 10-7 lead at the half. They increased the lead to 24-14 in the third quarter before finally putting the Knights away.

It's only the second time this season Campolindo has won a game by less than 10 points.

Las Lomas drops to 7-2 overall and 3-2 in league play.

Campolindo finishes the regular season at 10-0 oveall and 6-0 in league play. They now head into the playoffs.

Clayton Valley 40  Mt. Diablo 8

Clayton Valley High broke a three-game losing streak by hammering Mt. Diablo High, 40-8.

The Eagles led 26-0 at the half and put the game away early in the third quarter.

Clayton Valley improves to 5-4 overall and 1-3 in league play.

Mt. Diablo drops to 1-8 overall and 0-4 in league play.

In Saturday afternoon games, Northgate High travels to Concord to take on Ygnacio Valley High at 2:30 p.m. while Berean Christian visits Emeryville to do battle with Emery High at 1:30 p.m.
