High School Girls Volleyball Playoffs: Las Lomas Wins, Northgate Loses

The Knights move into the semifinals to take on top seed Redwood High

Las Lomas High has advanced to the semifinals in the North Coast Section Division II girls volleyball playoffs.

The fourth seeded Knights defeated fifth seeded Newark Memorial High in the quarterfinals Saturday night.

Las Lomas won three sets to one -- 25-21, 25-15, 22-25, 25-22. You can read more about the match in this Contra Costa Times story.

Las Lomas will now take on top ranked Redwood High in the Division II semifinals at 7 p.m. Wednesday on Redwood's home court.

Sixth seeded Northgate High lost in four sets to third ranked Carondelet High.

The Cougars defeated the Broncos in a close match by a score of 25-23, 25-18, 18-25, 26-24.

Northgate finishes their season with a record of 23-12.
