High School Volleyball Playoffs: Las Lomas, Northgate Win
Knights, Broncos both advance to the second round in the North Coast Section girls volleyball playoffs
Northgate High and Las Lomas High have both advanced to the second round in the North Coast Section girls volleyball playoffs.
In the Division II competition, fourth seeded Las Lomas defeated 13th ranked College Park High in straight sets in their first round match Wednesday.
The Knights now play fifth seeded Newark Memorial High at 7 p.m. Saturday on their home court.
Las Lomas is 25-13 while Newark is 26-4 on the season.
Sixth seeded Northgate defeated 11th ranked Washington High in four sets in their first round match.
The Broncos now face third seeded Carondelet High at 7 p.m. Saturday on the Cougars' home court.
Northgate is 23-11 on the season while Carondelet is 26-11.
