Las Lomas Girls Finish Fifth In State Cross Country Championships

The Knights were led by Chloe Hansen, who finished fourth in her Division III race

The Las Lomas High girls cross country team captured fifth place in the California Interscholatic Federation Division III cross country championships on Saturday.

The Knights had a combined score of 214 for their top five finishers.

Las Lomas was led by sophomore Chloe Hansen, who finished fourth with a time of 18:09 over the 5-kilometer course in Fresno.

Her teammate Megan Wenzel came in 36th. They were followed by Madison Hight in 40th, Sydney Polich in 66th and Elise Stankus in 68th.

The Las Lomas boys finished in 16th place out of 23 teams in their Division III race.

The Knights were led by sophomore Tom Robey who finished 39th with a time of 16:29 over the 5K course. He was followed by Kailen Swain in 80th, Jack Bradley in 84th, Keeson Davis in 97th and Kelly Tarter in 112th.

The Las Lomas girls finished second last weekend in the North Coast Section Division III championships while the boys finished third in their race.
