Simply put, "They are great kids who love baseball," said team supporter Nicole Mills about the accomplishments of the Walnut Creek Little League 10-year-old all-star team.
The Creekers won the 24-team District 4 tournament recently with an 11-5 victory over Alameda.
Team members are: Brian Burke, Jonathan Gazdar, Josh Gregson, Max Michels, Aidan Pearce, Eric Prough, Luke Saunders, Mason Stenberg, Chaden Snarr, Evan Tomlinson, Robby Uesugi and Aaron Winer, according to a piece in the Contra Costa Times. The team is managed by Sheldon Stenberg with coaches Michael Gazdar and Steve Uesugi.

The 10-year-olds won the District 4 tournament.

How about you research the current ADA guidelines regarding surface materials for play areas?…Read More Walnut Creek is simply acting to be in compliance. Not sure where you get the idea that wood chips are "much more dangerous". A reasonable overview of the current regulations can be found here:
