Walnut Festival Opens This Afternoon at 5

Here are entertainment listings and hours for four days of Heather Farm Park fun.

Workers on Wednesday were busy tightening bolts and preparing rides for the crowds that start coming through the turnstiles at 5 p.m. today, Thursday, for the 75th annual Walnut Festival at Heather Farm Park, Walnut Creek.

The kiddie rides are on the east side of San Carlos Drive, and the adult rides on the other side of the drive.

The musical acts on the carnival stage range from the Breedloves and the Martini Trio tonight to Blue Moonshine and the Floorshakers on Sunday.

Last Saturday the Walnut Festival Parade wowed downtown Walnut Creek. Award winners are listed here.

The Walnut Festival hours are:

  • 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. tonight.
  • 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday.
  • 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday.
  • 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.
