The Week Ahead: Symphony Choir, Train Show, Children's Chorus

Some of the events happening this week in the Walnut Creek area

On Monday evening, the Pacific Boychoir Academy and the California Symphony will combine for a Christmas concert.

The "Home for the Holidays" performance begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Lesher Center for the Arts, 1601 N. Civic Drive.

The concert will include four audience sing-a-longs as well as well-known holiday songs.

On Friday evening, the monthly train show will be held by the Walnut Creek Model Railroad Society.

The open house is from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the society's offices in Larkey Park, 2751 Buena Vista Ave.

On Saturday evening, a children's chorus will perform at a local church.

The 30th annual reunion concert for the Contra Costa Children's Chorus begins at 7:30 p.m. at Walnut Creek Presbyterian Church, 1801 Lacassie Ave.

The performance will include chorus alumni from the past 30 years.
