The Weekender: River Otter Snow, Children's Chorus, Year-End Comedy Show

Some of the events happening this weekend in Walnut Creek and beyond

If you're planning your weekend, here's a few events that are happening the next few days in Walnut Creek and elsewhere around the Bay Area.

Starting on Thursday, there will be a River Otter Snow Days in San Francisco.

For the next five days, the Aquarium of the Bay will be adding snow to their river otters' habitat.

The aquarium at Pier 39 is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

On Friday evening, the monthly train show will be held by the Walnut Creek Model Railroad Society.

The open house is from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the society's offices in Larkey Park, 2751 Buena Vista Ave., Walnut Creek.

On Saturday evening, children's chorus will perform at a local church.

The 30th annual reunion concert for the Contra Costa Children's Chorus begins at 7:30 p.m. at Walnut Creek Presbyterian Church, 1801 Lacassie Ave., Walnut Creek.

The performance will include chorus alumni from the past 30 years.

Also on Saturday evening, an end of the year comedy show will be held.

The Big Fat Year End Kiss Off Comedy Show XXI begins at 8 p.m. at the Lesher Center for the Arts, 1601 Civic Drive, Walnut Creek.
