If people have not noticed, it's an incredible year for California poppies, writes Patch reader and nature lover Brian Murphy.
Where to find them?
Just drive up North Gate Road into the Mt. Diablo park, pay the entry fee, drive up the road three or four miles -- and you will see poppies all over the place, he says.
