How about some boxes in Alhambra Creek in Martinez? I live on the Creek and we see many kinds ofRead More ducks. I would love to help these shy creatures! What can I do?

@ Jessica Nokes & Jana Baker, Yes, I do like the piece and I have seen many people takingRead More photos of their children touching the Fountain Head. However there are other important points here. The City funding was from funds dedicated to art works that could not be used to provide other services (not even new Art Police). Also, some of the funds were from local businesses like Mechanics Bank and Wells Fargo Bank (for their own art fountains). Fortunately, Walnut Creek requires that a small portion of each new development be dedicated to art exhibits. I really like most of them and don't care for a few.

I hate sand in parks. Nice breeding area for lice, and a great place for ferrel cats to poop. IRead More can't wait for them to do the park at Arbolado.

How about you research the current ADA guidelines regarding surface materials for play areas?Read More Walnut Creek is simply acting to be in compliance. Not sure where you get the idea that wood chips are "much more dangerous". A reasonable overview of the current regulations can be found here: http://risk.utah.gov/newsletter/documents/playground_surfacing.pdf If you disagree with the regulations, please contact your representatives.
