Registration Underway for Girls' Free Soccer Clinic

Announcement from the Office of Assemblywoman Susan A. Bonilla (D-Concord):

Assemblywoman Susan A. Bonilla (D-Concord) will be hosting the biggest District 14 event of the year, the 4th Annual “Taking the World by Storm” Soccer Clinic.  Girls ranging from ages 8 to 16 are invited to participate in the free clinic, which will be held on Saturday, July 26th in Walnut Creek. 

The event which is in partnership with local soccer organizations and the City of Walnut Creek, will give girls from all different skill levels the opportunity to learn more about the game, participate in technical drills, and interact with players from the women’s semi-professional team, the California Storm

“I am proud to announce July 26th as the date for our annual soccer clinic that has been a smashing success in the community for three years in a row,” said Assemblywoman Bonilla.  “The event is not only a great opportunity for hundreds of girls in the area to join one another and improve their soccer skills, but more importantly the experience empowers young women and promotes healthy and active lifestyles.” 

This year the clinic will be held at beautiful Arbolado Park (off of Ygnacio Valley Road) from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

There will be instructional scrimmages, team-building activities, an educational session with the Storm players, an opportunity to meet with our special guest US Olympians, free catered lunch for participants, as well as a feature presentation by health professionals on the prevention and treatment of sports related injuries for all attending parents.   

Girls and parents from all over the bay area do not want to miss out on this extraordinary, fun-filled event!
