Finding Balance: Glass Art in the Bay Area Art Exhibit

This invitational exhibition will delight a variety of guests with its diverse palette of color and light, rhythm and balance.  Local and regional glass artists exhibit functional and sculptural objects that span decades of glassmaking in the Bay Area. From world renowned glass makers Michael Nourot and Curator Randy Strong to up and coming protégés like ten year old Theo Hanks, this show will highlight the variety of techniques found amongst the glass art world.

The gallery will host an opening reception, curator talk, art chat, guest speakers and a special lottery for a chance to blow glass with maestro glass maker, Michael Nourot.  Other artists include: Curator Mary White, Dean Bensen, Michael Cohn, Ann Corcoran, George Jercich, David Lindsay, Nick Nourot, Treg Silkwood, Steve Smyers, Molly Stone, and Demetra Theofanous.

Opening Reception Friday, March 18 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Curator, Randy Strong will present the Curator Talk at 7:00 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
