Summer Fun: Final Event of July 4 Weekend Today at Lindsay Museum

The dog parade and July 4 concert have passed but there is one final event to enjoy Monday.

If you're sticking close to home, here's what to do in Walnut Creek over the weekend, including a a special July 4 concert in Civic Park.

The National Weather Service says that the temperatures were expected to rise to the low- to -mid-90s on Independence Day. But fog was returning to the Bay Area on Monday, and temperatures should drop inland, if just to the 80s.

Walnut Creek Concert Band's Annual July 4 performance: The official band of the city of Walnut Creek will perform a free outdoor concert, starting at 6 p.m. Sunday in Civic Park.  Bring a blanket and picnic, sit on the grass and celebrate the holiday with friends and family. 

Eagle Days at the Lindsay Wildlife Museum, Monday: This special celebration includes presentations and interactive displays that show what makes these birds so majestic.
