Cake Outlet Opening in Downtown Walnut Creek

Nothing Bundt Cakes opens Jan. 20 in Main Street Plaza, Botelho Drive.

Friday, Jan. 20, is another sweet milestone for Walnut Creek palates.

That's the planned opening date for Nothing Bundt Cakes in the Main Street Plaza at 1551 Botelho Dr. It's the second East Bay bakery for the company,

“We are excited to further enrich Walnut Creek and the community around our bakery by expanding Nothing Bundt Cakes in our neighborhood,” said Kellie Sanciangco, the Walnut Creek bakery co-owner, in a Nothing Bundt Cakes press release. “We have had such wonderful support from fans of our bakery in Dublin and we can’t wait to bring the area around Walnut Creek some of the same delicious fun! By partnering with meaningful organizations here, including the Walnut Creek Education Foundation and DPIE (Dublin Partners In Education), we are able to increase our commitment and dedication to the communities which have shown us such great support.”

Some opening celebration events:

  • Friday, Jan. 20: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. – Education Foundation Day, 20 percent of all proceeds from the Walnut Creek bakery benefit the Walnut Creek Education Foundation;
  • Saturday, Jan. 21: 10 a.m. – First 50 customers to make a purchase receive free Bundtlets for a year;
  • Wednesday, Feb. 1: 5:30 p.m. – Ribbon cutting with the Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce and Mayor Bob Simmons.

Nothing Bundt Cakes promotes an old family favorite – the Bundt cake. Each cake features hand-crafted cake decorations that are smart, contemporary and fun, according to the Nothing Bundt Cakes release.
