A long line of cars waited at the entrance to the Saturday night, as a security team stopped each one and searched through trunks for dangerous items.
The new security procedure was put in place following the at a midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises.
All vehicles entering the drive-in, regardless of the movie they intend to see — which could include Spiderman or Ice Age 4 — are being asked to pop their trunks for a search.
