Jazz Band and Flute Choir Make Beautiful Music Together

From gospel funk to hard bop swing to romantic ballads, the Jazz band will have you tapping your feet to “The Chicken,” feeling nostalgic over “As Time Goes By,” and swinging along to Horace Silver’s “Sister Sadie.” Under the leadership of Max Pricco, the group will also play “April in Paris,” using the arrangement by the “Tonight Show’s” famed Doc Severinsen, as well as featuring the alto saxophone on the bluesy “Since I Fell For You” by Buddie Johnson. “We’ll also feature some of our fine younger soloists on Freddie Hubbard’s ‘Little Sunflower,’” adds Pricco.

The Flock of Flutes, helmed by Monica Williams, joins
