July 13 Public Astronomy Program On Mt Diablo

Please join Mt. Diablo
Astronomical Society for the July 13th astronomy program.  Lower
Summit Parking Lot of Mt. Diablo State Park. 
The program starts at 7:30 (enter the park at least 45 minutes earlier)
at the lower summit parking lot. Come early to see the sun safely through
filtered telescopes  Although there is no fee for this program there is a
$10 park entrance fee.  This month’s
program is – “Explore the magnetic Sun” how can the Sun effect our cell phone
phones and how can it have spots.



 



 See stars, nebula, galaxies, clusters, the moon
and planets and of course the sun through member telescopes.  Bring kids, binoculars, warm clothes
(temperature can drop), snacks, and water.  No need for a flashlight but
if you must bring one cover it in red plastic.  Escorted exit several times
during the evening through Northgate entrance.
