All proceeds from the event, which will feature live musical performances by talented Bay Area youth, will fund the 2012 projects of Creek Kids Care. These include practical and personal support to homeless members of the local community at Fresh Start in Walnut Creek, and supplies and other assistance to the Mother of Peace Orphanage in Zimbabwe for children orphaned by the AIDS epidemic. Proceeds will also fund a one-time donation to Community Health Initiative in Haiti, a small non-profit working to address the needs of rural Haitians without access to health care.
The event will also feature a boutique with sales of greeting cards made from the art of youth volunteers with Creek Kids Care, as well as refrigerator magnets and other items. The boutique opens at 2:30pm, concert begins at 4pm.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for youth ages 3-18. They are available in advance at www.creekkids.org.
