County Hearing on Sufi Sanctuary Feb. 21

Board of Supervisors schedules an all-day special meeting on appeal for Sufism Reoriented facility.

A neighborhood battle over a new and bigger Sufi sanctuary in Saranap will get a full-day airing from the county Board of Supervisors.

The county board on Tuesday scheduled a special meeting for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21,  to consider an appeal of the Planning Commission's November approval of the new sanctuary in the unincorporated area between Walnut Creek and Lafayette, according to the Contra Costa Times.

after decades of "temporary" facilities in the neighborhood. Residential neighbors are concerned about traffic, parking and the environmental impact.

I hate sand in parks. Nice breeding area for lice, and a great place for ferrel cats to poop. IRead More can't wait for them to do the park at Arbolado.

How about you research the current ADA guidelines regarding surface materials for play areas?Read More Walnut Creek is simply acting to be in compliance. Not sure where you get the idea that wood chips are "much more dangerous".
