Opa Brings Taste of Greece to North Main St.

New Greek restaurant takes spot at corner of Lincoln Avenue.

Opa opened Tuesday at 1532 N. Main St. in a redesigned building that used to house the Cafe Delle Stelle Italian restaurant.

It is the fourth Opa in the Bay Area and the first one in the East Bay. The original was in the Willow Glen section of San Jose. Other Opas are in Los Altos and Los Gatos.

"It's a bigger night scene here," said Walnut Creek manager Zach Kuster, "so the design has the bar as a center focus. We're encouraging the late night crowd while also encouraging a family atmosphere."

The design also has big open windows to give a boulevardier feel. How do you say "boulevardier" in Greek?
