Promenade With Mayor Set For Saturday
It's a new one on the schedule to get in the wildflower walk on Lime Ridge.
A new walk has been added to the Walnut Creek Walks schedule at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Lime Ridge Open Space.
Hosted by Mayor Walkin' Bob Simmons, the Second Saturday walk last Saturday had a route change because of muddy trails. This Saturday, the mayor leads a five-miler in search of wildflowers, meeting at 1:30 at the Bayberry Court entrance to Lime Ridge Open Space. Bring water and a snack and an appetite for amazing vistas.
And for some Walnut Creek Open Space enthusiasts, it will be merely a tuneup for the next day — Earth Day — with service projects, a picnic and even a campfire.
