Times Editorial on Lesher Abuse Case

So I "like" the Walnut Creek Journal Facebook Page and I'm reading it today when I see this response (see below) to today's Editorial on the Lesher abuse case. The response is spot on but more interesting is the "likes" to the comment. One is Councilmember Justin Wedel! Love it.

You apparently didn't read the same report I did. It was pretty damning and concluded that city leaders-including the City Manager and Human Resources Director-lied. Why not call them out in this editorial? You also curiously give the city council and Mayor Silva a pass on their efforts to hide this information. What happened to your push for open government? I'm hoping your constant drive against cops and firefighters isn't impacting your objectivity. For example your comment "it seems that years of tension over police compensation has gotten in the way of essential professional communication". What is your evidence to back up this rather odd statement? Maybe you are playing nice because the Times is headquarted here in WC but a more reasoned Editorial Board would have called for an immediate end to the dishonest and unethical behavior by high ranking city officals and some accountability for their bungled response to this mess.
