Alert Citizen Calls In Tip on Burglars

East county pair were involved in multiple break-ins of vehicles and sheds, Walnut Creek police say.

After a tip from an alert citizen, Walnut Creek police reported arresting a pair of burglars early Saturday morning and accused them of multiple break-ins.

At 12:40 a.m., a citizen called police to report burglary in progress on the 1800 block of Olmo Way, according to a Walnut Creek Police Department release. Officers arrived within minutes and captured both suspects: Daniel Steven Labaron, 26, from Antioch and Salud Evelyn Santos Cabresa, 32, from Bay Point.

Officers discovered three vehicles and two storage sheds had been burglarized, police said. Labaron and Cabresa were reportedly in possession of stolen property and burglary tools.

Labaron was arrested and taken to the Martinez Detention Facility and is being held on a $20,000 bail for burglary and possession of burglary tools. Cabresa was arrested and transported to Martinez Detention Facility and was being held on a $20,000 bail for burglary, possession of burglary tools and violation of probation.

So glad to hear a fellow citizen made this report and captured the burglars so the homeowners did not have to go through the painful claims process. Tricia Hoekwater Home Inventory Professional
